The main task of the Committees is to draw up recommendations, resolutions and other professional material in relation to the activities of the Association and to the sectoral tasks of the Association's members in their field of expertise.

Permanent and Provisional Committees, composed of members delegated by the members of the Association, may be set up for 1 renewal term (3 years) to examine technical issues and prepare proposals. Technical, energy management, economic, legal, public relations and marketing themed committees must be set up for each renewal cycle. Permanent Committees consist of:

  • Development Policy Committee
  • Consumer Protection Committee
  • Legal Committee
  • Economic Committee
  • Technical Committee
  • Fuel Management Committee
  • PR and Marketing Committee

Our Ethics Committee looks into and makes recommendations when members of the Association are accused of ethical misconduct, either towards the Association or by violating its Code of Ethics established by the Presidency. Currently, the Consumption Measurement Committee is working as our only Provisional Committee.

The Presidency of the Association may set up a Subcommittee of at least 3 members belonging to a Committee to examine and discuss a specific professional issue of key importance for the district heating sector and to formulate a professional position.
